30A Songwriters Festival 

This Destin 30A Festival is very popular and is five music-filled days (January 17-20) A little history about this festival and what makes it so great:

The 30A Songwriters Festival, now in its tenth year, is the major fundraiser for the Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County (CAA), a private, non-profit 501(c)3 organization that champions the arts through leadership, advocacy, funding, programs, and education. The Festival’s success is critical to the success of the CAA, and your support as a ticket-buyer, partner or volunteer helps us provide an abundance of programs, services, and support to the community.

Founded in 1993, the CAA continues to fulfill the vision of Walton County’s art pioneers by distributing net proceeds through the Art For All Program, which funds need-based student scholarships, college scholarships, artists continuing education grants and grants to other arts organizations, teachers and schools. These grants make it possible to incorporate music, performing arts, visual arts, and other art programs into the classroom that are not usually available due to lack of funding. Many of the needs are basic, like books and art supplies; others are for special projects, equipment, and instruments.

Over the course of the weekend, the festival will take place in 32 venues along coastal Florida’s scenic Hwy 30A, and will feature headliners Brian Wilson, John Prine, Indigo Girls, Tanya Tucker, Don McLean, Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone. Throughout the four days, the evenings will consist of 150 other music artists to enjoy.

This festival benefits our surrounding community while providing awesome entertainment. The CAA also produces other cultural events…Art Week South Walton, the ArtsQuest Fine Arts Festival, the Longleaf Writers Conference, and the Flutterby Arts Festival!
