We loved the location, the neighborhood pool and the house was nice. They kitchen had what we needed. The view of the pond and wildlife was nice, too. I’m glad the rental office texted me the check in info and I could text back to that number, it made it very easy to communicate.

It is the perfect size for our family of four and I absolutely love the back deck, where I could sit all day and watch the wildlife. T

It was great. Perfect location for access to pool, beach, and lake behind the house for kids to fish. Publix/Walmart are quick drive, as well as other restaurants, starbucks, etc... Would for sure come back!

We had a wonderful time in Destin!! This house is close enough to walk to the beach, and the pool is great! The house was in excellent condition, with one exception. When we arrived, the floors were needing a good cleaning/mopping. We had a crawling baby but the floors had not been mopped. But I called Devin and she took care of it immediately! So I will definitely try to stay in this house again!

Our stay at “worth the wait” was perfect! Everything was very clean and organized. The home had the perfect amount of space and was in a perfect location. Only walking distance from the beach and a short drive from many restaurants and stores. The neighborhood was beautiful and perfect for morning walks with the family. We will definitely be booking here again!

Beautiful property! Very nice management company to deal with. Had an issue with our dryer and had to call maintenance twice, but problem was resolved. Mike was super nice. Would definitely be back.

We had a great time! We had 7 total people including 2 kids and the house was perfect! We caught several fish off the dock in the back yard and our kids had a blast. The house was clean and the kitchen was fully stocked with all the cooking utensils we needed. We have already recommended this house to other families interested in the Destin area.

This is our 2nd year vacationing in this home. The location is great, walked to the beach. The back deck with the pond is just so awesome, very relaxing. The garage had a bad smell coming from the trash can so we had to take it out. Also the sitting are in the living room need some updating. And in the master bedroom the cover/comforter is so heavy, and the pillows very high, not really comfortable. Overall the stay was good and we had an awesome time.

We picked Worth the Wait at last minute after evacuating hurricane week before. House was very clean with an awesome back deck for our kids to play. Close walk to community pool and beach. Would definitely stay here again!

Overall great day. House is gorgeous with large bathroom in walk-in closets and a very nice kitchen. Deck on Lake was very nice. Only real complaint is there was no television service. Had such a basic package that no ESPN or other channels were available. Did have access to streaming packages but didn't help. I would think basic television service should always be included if it's not they should make guest aware. Also found it odd there is no ironing board or iron in the house. Otherwise well-appointed and very nice. Would definitely like to return.

Four of us gal pals finally were able to get together to celebrate turning 60! When I stumbled upon the "Worth the Wait" house and read previous reviews, I thought it sounded like the perfect house. I was right! My friends told me they trusted me to make the decision, and I definitely made the right one. The house is beautiful, and the deck was great! The weather wasn't good when we first arrived, but we got our shopping out of the way and took a Dolphin tour. When the weather cleared, we headed to the beach which was only steps away. It was absolutely beautiful! We spent as much time there as we could soaking up the sun and seeing the gorgeous water--nothing better than that! We did not take advantage of any of the community amenities, but I'm sure they would have been great too. Martha, at the property management company was very helpful. I ran into a couple of problems having gifts for my girlfriends shipped there, but we managed to straighten it out, and Martha was wonderful. She answered all my many questions and always responded quickly. I would highly recommend this rental property. We can't wait to go back!!!

Our goal was relaxation and ease and that is exactly what we got. The house looks great in photos but even better in person. The backyard/deck area was our favorite part of the house with great sunset views every night. There was also a screened-in porch option which was great when bugs started to become a bit much (which only happened once and we had food so...duh). It was centrally locates and very quiet.

Each year, some close friends and I take a "girls trip" to the beach. This year instead of a condo, we chose to rent a house. A friend recommended "Worth The Wait" and she was exactly right. The house was spacious and VERY comfortable. The beds have great mattresses and there are no "kiddie beds" that an adult has to sleep on. The only negative was the TV. The cable is very limited- no ESPN or SEC network. We were there in September and for girls from Alabama- we need our sports! A second negative was the landscapers came to trim trees before 7:00 am. Chain saws and clanging ladders was not very pleasant thus negating our breakfast on the back deck. Other than that, our stay was perfect. We definitely want to rent this house again.

!0th year wedding anniversary. We could not have chosen a more perfect place. Neighborhood was great to walk in and view some of the other homes in this property. If someone cant enjoy this place, its there own fault.

We had an incredible time in Destin and at this rental. We couldn't have asked for a nicer home for our week away. Extremely clean, well laid out and very peaceful. The guys enjoyed having the dock out back, they fished nearly every evening (only 1 little fish caught!), while I enjoyed the small screened porch off one of the bedrooms. The beach was a short walk and was just gorgeous.. We enjoyed it so much that we are already planning our return to Destin and this house!!!

The home was nice. There are however a few things that need to be attended too. Housekeeping left lots of long dark hair in the small bathrooms bathtub. This was not that big a deal for me but my wife did not like it at all. The main sofa needs to be cleaned. Its made of light colored cloth that has gotten dirty. The smaller bathroom has 2 blown light bulbs. One of the patio chairs needs to be removed or replaced. It has a large tear in it. The televisions in the bedrooms are very SMALL. They need to be replaced with 32 inch TV's ASAP. My laptop computer has a larger screen than one of the TV's. The gas grill had not been cleaned in quite some time. We tried to use it on our last day of vacation but it was out of propane gas. So we called Destin Palms and they instructed me to go buy more gas. I have the receipt for the propane tank that I purchased. I would like to be reimbursed for the $23.64. For the simple reason that it took an hour of my hard earned vacation time to replace the propane tank. Even though all of the above seems negative, we were pretty satisfied with the home. We have rented more than 20 homes in the Destin area over the past 15 years. If the above items are corrected I would rent the home again. The location was great. The subdivision was peaceful. We have stayed there before. The home was secluded. We had lots of privacy. The lake view was nice.

We were a two family group that stayed in this property in July. It was meticulously clean, beautifully decorated, and with high end appliances. Especially loved the top load HE large capacity washing machine, and dryer. The highlight of our morning and evening was spent on the back deck overlooking the lake. It was a great view from inside the house as well. We'd like to thank the family that has graciously opened their house for rental - it seemed like we were borrowing from a friend! Only thing lacking was a golf cart (who wouldn't love that!) or wagon to help transport items to the beach. Highly recommend this house to others. Thank you for a great vacation home!
