We went with another family so in total there were 10 of us (6 kids). This place was perfect. Each set of adults were able to have their own master suite and it seemed like when the kids were in their room we couldn’t even hear them arguing haha. Sitting on the balcony was our favorite thing to do. Being right on the beach was definitely a plus but we also took advantage of the pool which was nice when the waves were too large for the little ones but we still wanted to swim. The A/C wasn’t working in one of the rooms but when I brought it up the maintenance man set up a temporary A/C within just a few hours. Even though it didn’t look very pretty, it did the job and the room stayed cool the rest of the week. We were hoping to be able to do an early check in. By the time we got the approval to check in it was 3:30 so we didn’t get to actually check in until 4, our original check in time. My only suggestions for the property management would be to check consistency between the app I was told to download and the papers in the condo. There were a few things different. We had a great stay and would definitely stay here again.

Reviewer Comments: Honestly, this place is as advertised - beautiful decor, excellent location and views, excellent parking, carts and an elevator to help you load and unload your luggage. Staff was attentive. Kitchen had lots of storage, the fridge was large with a working ice maker, stove worked fine and the dishwasher was super quiet. The fan was a nice touch and was used often as temps along with the humidity reached over 100 a few days. The only thing I would say was negative was the master bedroom mattress needs to be replaced. Once that's done, I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone! If we make the trek to Destin again, this will be the place we stay. As an FYI, we had 5 adults and one baby staying the week - plenty of room! Another FYI - if you stay here and turn the TV in the living room on and get the grey bars on the side, simply hit the '*' button on the Dish remote until it gets the correct aspect to show - took us a few days to figure this one out...

Amazing views of the beach on one balcony and peaceful views of the inlet and golf course on another balcony! Beds were comfy and it was nice to have a washer and dryer. However, upon our arrival one of the master bedrooms and bathrooms had a VERY bad mildew smell! It was pretty dang BAD! But once I discovered it was a wet, mildewed shower mat, we set it outside on the balcony and I sprayed some room spray and the smell went away. There were some cobwebs in the fake greenery too. There was also construction going on the condo right below us for a couple of days. It was loud and obnoxious. Also, we had a surprise visit from a maintenance worker one morning who said he needed to inspect the unit. We all felt awkward and even wondered if he was legit. We assume he was just weird having someone come inspect the unit during our stay. I figured they would do that after we checked out. The balconies could use a good cleaning too. If someone could get up there with a blower to blow off all the sand and maybe mop one good time it would make a big difference. We loved the spacious kitchen and rooms! We can't wait for our next vacation at the beach!

Parking space is right next to the elevator and the elevator opens up next to the door. Crazy convenient. Have stayed here twice and will always stay in this unit if available.

This was our 4th year at the Empress and will not be our last. The condo had ample room for the 10 of us with room to spare. This is the 4th year at the Empress, 3rd year in 601. We loved every minute of the vacation. The property manager is always very helpful. The location is spectacular and the views from the balcony are breathtaking. The condo is well appointed and more than large enough for the 10 of us. We will continue to book this condo as long as it is available. Our family loves our time together in Destin and is the most relaxing vacation we have every taken.

The 3rd bedroom was back by itself which was great for our son. Two huge balconies. Practically a private elevator that is just steps from your parking space. Very quiet building. Highly recommend.

My husband and I were fortunate to of spent two months in this beautiful unit. Being the first ones to enjoy the fabulous new kitchen and luxurious bathrooms was great! The upgrades are FIRST CLASS. The balcony furniture is wonderful. The beds are very comfortable. The condo is huge with a very large dining room. We recommend the unit highly. Your vacation will be memorable, this has to be one of the best and largest condos in the area.

This condo is an extremely large and beautifully decorated property with great views of the Gulf and views of a golf course and lake on the other side. An exceptional feature was the fact that all three bedrooms had great views - no one was stuck in a "tunnel" condo where the only view is from the living room and/or master bedroom. I loved the soothing neutral tones in the condo. It is conveniently located to restaurants, beach, and coffee shop. A favorite restaurant was The Back Porch. I would recommend this condo to anyone vacationing in the area.

For the second time, my family and I have rented this unit for our annual vacation and I have to say, once again, the unit took my breath away! I had almost forgotten how exquisite the unit actually was. Not only is the unit spacious, beautiful, and cozy but the panoramic views of the ocean, bay and lake are breathtaking. The north view of the unit has a large balcony overlooking the Seascape Resort Lake and golf course with views of the bay in the distance. The south view is that of the ocean with a balcony that stretches the entire length of the condo. The master suite, second master suite, and living room all have sliding glass doors with access to semi-private areas of the balcony. The balcony does not section off by room however, three sets of couples could all enjoy the balcony on a fairly private level. Both master bedrooms are large and one can enjoy gulf front views upon wakening in the morning! This particular unit at the Empress is well worth the weekly rate, you will NOT find a better unit for the price. The condo is located in the heart of Miramar Beach with close access to excellent fine dining on and off the beach, a large higher end outlet mall, pharmacies, local boutiques and souvenir shops! You will not have to venture far to enjoy the recreational activities in Destin!! We enjoyed wave runners, a sunset dolphin cruise, and I was even able to parasail over the Empress, which was quite impressive!!

We have stayed in this condo 3 times now and will never look for another one anywhere else in Destin. The Empress itself is a great location with easy parking and elevator service as well as quick access to Winn Dixie, Dollar General and Walgreens or CVS. This unit is unbelievable-it makes me feel like I am in a New York City penthouse. Getting to the beach is as easy as you will find in this area and unlike many other buildings close by is not as crowded. Someone earlier said it best...Empress is a well kept secret.

My husband and I have stayed in 7 different units in at the Empress! In 2009 we rented this unit and had a destination wedding & were married on the beach! The pictures are beautiful but do not do this unit justice! My jaw dropped when I walked through the front door! The unit is classy and elegant just as we had hoped. My family and I rented a total of 6 different units for the wedding alone and this unit was by far the most BEAUTIFUL the unit got nothing but positive feedback :) We are hoping to spend our anniversary in the exact same unit this year!! Anyone pricing various units at the Empress can stop their research right here....it does not get any better than this unit!!

I have stayed here three times so far. The accommodation is spectacular! The views from the balcony make you feel you are on the ocean! The rooms are spacious, you can definitely have two or more families stay together. This is a perfect way to spend a week. Grocery stores are nearby as well as wonderful shopping, restaurants and a lot of fun things to do for both children and adults. We have made this place an annual vacation stop! The beach is right in front of your door, the amenities and pool are perfect. Would recommend this place to family and friends. The cleanliness and decor are reminiscent of an amazing 5 Star hotel!

This condo was beautifully decorated and fully equipped for all your vacation needs. The front balcony is very spacious overlooking the beach and ocean. We also enjoyed having the back balcony overlooking the lake for a more private setting. I would highly recommend this condo to anyone and will definitely stay there again. We have been coming to Destin as Snowbirds for the past 16 years and without a doubt, this condo is the most beautiful we have stayed in. The great spaciousnes and exquisite decor were striking and the view from every room was awsome. Yhe location was great for shopping and good restaurants and the beach was just a few steps away. Everything was first class and we want to thank the owners for sharing their little bit of heaven with us, They were great to do business with and we are planning another visit for next year.
