Pearl of Destiny

Glass Casa was a great house for our family to spend the thanksgiving week at!! The double ovens, double fridges, and double dishwashers were great for a group of 10. We had plenty of space for everyone and the location was great with a golf cart ride to anything to would need. It is on a quiet street in a beautiful neighborhood I would highly recommend this location to anyone

This house is very spacious and beautiful! Located in a quiet cul de sac in a beautiful neighborhood! Just me, my husband and our two dogs stayed, and it was perfect! The only recommendation would be to increase the heat of the pool; it was a bit chilly!

This home is beautiful and has everything we needed. They supplied us with plenty of towels and and the beds were comfy. The house needed some work but overall such a wonderful stay. The golf carts were such a plus we deff got use out of them. I recommend staying here. It fit our family of 8 with plenty of room and not feel crowded.

This was easy check in and we got early check in. The house is beautiful . There are a few small things that need fixed but overall wonderful stay. The beds were comfortable and it was very clean . The 2 golf carts were such a bonus we got a lot of use out of them. The neighborhood was beautiful . The pool was nice and the space was perfect for our family of 8. We brought my grandpa on his 90th birthday. Would deff stay again

This house is beautiful and spacious for a large family. The description doesn't mention all the things that are in the home. There's tons of beach chairs, 2 beach eagons, lots of toys for the sand, pool floats, beach mats, ect. There is a pack and play and several floor fans. You will need those. The homes only allows the air conditioner to be set at 72°. The main bedroom only has sheer curtains and gets very hot. The sheer curtains also allow tons of light in at night so be prepared for that.
The pool house is also a great bonus. We were traveling with a baby, so the parents and baby stayed in the pool house so not to disrupt the others while sleeping.
The golf carts are awesome for the area. There are several local restaurants and shops near by you can ride the carts to.
Be sure to bring your own toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, laundry supplies and dishwasher pods. The host supplies you with the minimum. The kitchen is huge and has everything you could need.

We absolutely loved our stay. The house was beautiful, had all the amenities we were looking for (kitchen was well stocked, contrary to previous reviews), and everything worked out perfectly for our family vacation. We made full use of the provided golf carts for our beach days, and we were pleasantly surprised to find that almost everything we needed for the beach (toys, chairs, umbrellas, sand carts, etc.) was already there in the garage. The pool was perfect for our grown kids and 2 year old granddaughter alike (the shallow area with the fountain makes a perfect splash area for a toddler), and the very spacious family room was perfect for gathering anytime we weren't on the beach or in the pool.
Pricing seemed fair based on all our research, and we'd definitely return. 5 stars from our family!

The main issue we had was spotty internet. Some had to work so that was a bummer. Otherwise everything was great. House was beautiful, clean, and spacious. Glass Casa was responsive to our questions. House was nicely stocked with everything we needed. Golf carts and bicycles were a real plus.

This was our second year at Pearl of Destiny and it is a perfect place for our family. The house is just what we wanted with plenty of space and everything we were looking for. The location to the beach and with the pool was perfect for everyone especially our little ones.

The only note I would have for the owners is the second refrigerator for the second year in a row was not working well filling with water each day. Guests who look to enjoy this level of rental would expect everything to be working.

That being said it is a lovely house with everything one is looking for. I would highly recommend this location to anyone.

Our stay was amazing! We had 15 people total- 7 of which were children. The home itself had more space than expected and everyone was surprised at area of individual space/rooms/beds. However the best part was that there was large areas where we all could gather and spend time together. The house was located in a cul de sac on a quiet street. It was not far from the beach or from our favorite restaurant. The golf carts were great and provided a faster/easier/more fun way to get around.

The property was just as pictured (except the size of the pool is a bit tinier than it looks) Very clean. There was plenty of room for all eleven of us! Plenty of sleeping space. And plenty of room to get to yourself when needed. The kitchen could use a bit of updating on items, but it was still great! We enjoyed our week, just wished we had been able to book longer!

Can walk also, but easier to bring stuff in the golf carts. The home's pool would be warm to swim in if you pay to have it heated. The bedrooms were great--the bunk room has twin over double beds x2 plus 2 twin trundle beds underneath. There is also a little pull-out couch in the master BR on the main level. The pool house is perfect for more privacy for 2 people. The only stressful thing was I had to call the emergency number posted on the house because they didn't send me the codes to get in. But they called back within 5 minutes and gave me everything we needed so it was fine.

The property was very spacious. Easily accommodated 11 adults and 1 one child. Enjoyed the private pool. The six and four passenger golf cart made it extremely easy to get to the beach. I would definitely return.

We had 3 families with us and this house was perfect. The kitchen was AMAZING! Multiple golf carts were a bonus some places don’t even offer 1 let alone 2 to use. The location was perfect and close to the beach. Will stay here again.

Nice house, big open concept suited for a large family group. Private pool was a plus for the kids. We wish it had been closer to beach but golf carts were helpful for carrying everyone to the beach. Overall we had a great time and would recommend to others if you have a large group and don't mind a short ride to the beach.

The pictures don’t do this home justice even though they look great. In person is even better. Absolutely loved everything except the toilet paper that was a step down from gas station TP as if that is possible. Otherwise we loved the spacious kitchen with its large fridge, two ovens, two sinks, two dishwashers and independent ice maker (super convenient). The living room is spacious and comfortable to relax and recover from a day at the beach. Also enjoyable was the whole house sound system. Loved this stay!

This is a lovely and roomy rental home. It was very clean. There were some concerns, the Hot water did not get hot for the Master bedroom or upstairs bathrooms. The Staff responded to all of our concerns. Having the two golf carts was great. Great location. We would stay here again

Had a wonderful time. The house was beautiful. We added the heated pool to our booking and it was perfect for the cooler days. We had 4 generations under one roof with plenty of room to spare. The kitchen was perfect for cooking a traditional family Christmas dinner and baking Christmas cookies. Never once with 11 people did we have to wait for a bathroom.

This vacation home was a great pick. Everyone enjoyed it. The family room was huge and spacious enough for our party of 14. The golf carts that were provided had good speed to them. Lots of beach gear in garage in case anyone forgot theirs. Pool was small but nice for its size. Community pool and park was great but be sure to have your bracelet on. Overall a great vacation and the management were very helpful. The people with xplorie for the activities were great also and very accommodating. It was well stocked with dishes. Only a couple suggestions to make it an even greater place. Locks for some of the doors such as bathrooms. Large parties it would be nice to have a lock to prevent walk ins. Blackout shades for the bedroom windows. Luggage racks on golf carts to help take beach back and forth. Two trash cans for trash pickup

The house is very nice and worked well for our extended family. There were a few minor things that were responded to almost immediately. Home was super clean and has tons of kitchen utensils, dishes, pots pans etc.

We absolutely loved our time at Destin! Pros: The house was beautiful. We had a few snags but all in all it was wonderful. The kids loved the pool! The location was fantastic. The men loved the grilling area. And us women were very impressed with the large kitchen. Highly recommend this home to any large group. It worked perfectly for our group. We would definitely go back. Cons: The pool heater was out most of the time there (kids didn’t tell me till later) and I paid a decent amount to have it. There was some tree bugs in the house and silver fish. And when I went to grab a blanket out of the closet there was a metal bar on it (it was on top couldn’t see it there)that fell knocked me in the head making me bleed pretty good. And the gulf carts we had weren’t the best compared to the other homes. Ours were very slow and the parking didn’t work on one of them. And the lights were a bit annoying to work. Only other thing was no locks on any doors (bedroom or bathrooms).

Some quick highlight:-The large kitchen and open concept allowed everyone to gather comfortably. The individual rooms and bathrooms were comfortable in size for such of a large group.-The two outdoor patio area's were perfect. The kids would hang out at the patio at the pool and the parents played cards in the evening on the back patio. -Location was convenient and close to everything you would need. There was a 5-10 minute walk to the beach or a quick golf cart ride. Parking at the beach was free and we never had any issues finding a spot. -Beach furniture and toys were plentiful and many options for kids and adultsWe'll definitely be back :)

My husband and I were able to stay in the pool house and our three daughters and grandchildren had the run of the main house. The dining room seating was enough for everyone at dinner time. We only took advantage of the free perks for a deep sea fishing trip, but did use our wristbands to go to the main pool. The only thing at the house was the pool fence had a large enough hole that our littlest grandchildren, a 18 month, 2 year, 3 year and six year old were able to slide through. This kept us hopping. That should be fixed somehow. Overall we loved the place.

This house was awesome for 16 people, eight adults and eight kids. The only thing that would have been better is if it would have been beachfront. There were two golf carts that enabled all of us to go to the beach and travel around the beach area without trouble. The kids used the pool unending!!

The owner claimed he had fixed many things that he had not. The Pearl of Destiny is a magnificent vacation home in excellent shape and spotlessly clean. The management staff was very responsive and any issues (which were small) were taken care of very promptly. The on-site pool meant adults could sit and keep an eye on the swimmers while the kids had a blast. The on-site pool really made th home a huge hit for our group. The huge kitchen boasts two refrigerators, a wine refrigerator, two dishwashers and two food prep islands. Pearl of Destiny is the nicest VRBO-type place we've ever stayed in and we highly recommend it.

Golf carts were a fun way to get around. The tennis courts/ basketball court were not available all week due to maintenance but we were not informed. There is no hot tub at the house, only the communal one at the clubhouse area. There are no beach towels. Not enough dish towels, no Keurig, no beach chairs. Master bedroom is huge compared to the other bedrooms. Cost of pool heat was $300 plus tax for a week which was excessive but very necessary. Sandestin Golf Resort has a fun shopping area that even all 4 kids enjoyed.

There were 15 of us and the house/pool house were plenty big. The furnishings were perfect. The huge kitchen area allowed several people to be there without feeling cramped. The pool area was particularly nice since we had kids ranging from 13 months to 7 years old. The gate allowed the little ones to toddle around while the bigger kids played in the pool. The two golf carts were perfect for conveying our group to the beach and if you wanted to walk it was only a 7-10 min. walk. Plenty of toys and games to enjoy too. We enjoyed a Dolphin cruise as well as two rounds of golf as part of the Perks package. Everyone we dealt with while in Destin Palms was terrific and quick to assist us. All in all it was a perfect fit for our family. We would book Pearl of Destiny again in a heartbeat!!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This home worked very well for our party of 8 adults, 7 children/teens. It is a beautiful space with plenty of room in the living areas. The kitchen is well stocked with blender, electric mixer, two ovens, two separate sinks, two dish washers, two refrigerators, and plenty of dishes, gadgets, etc. There were only 5 teaspoons and the other eating spoons were massive. Check in was a bit of a muddle. We were on the phone for 30 minutes trying to get the correct keyless access codes for front gate and home. Finally another random car gave us the gate entrance. After being given multiple codes for the house, we finally were given the correct one. Also it took until the next day at noon to get the key for one of the golf carts. Other then these two inconveniences, our stay was wonderful.The beds were comfortable and there were adequate linens. We enjoyed the various outdoor spaces as well, back patio, balcony and front entry area. The pool was not used due to no heat. Showering our large group made for some cool showers when people were trying to bathe within too tight a time frame. The hot water heater couldn't keep up, as one would expect. When showers were spread out throughout the day, it was no problem. We had a great time. If the opportunity presents itself, we would love to come back. We recommend this home to others without reservation.

My 3 sons and their children ages 7years to 10 months, their wives and my husband were comfortably housed in this property. The amenities were wonderful; the home pool was in constant use. The athletic center, community pool and the theater were such a fun addition to the stay. The golf carts were such a convenient bonus, allowing us to go anywhere, anytime and not have to worry about parking. The beaches were the most beautiful sugar sand and the water was bright aqua. None of us have ever been in such a place. this is THE place to stay with 12 people who love the water experience. It is going to be hard to find another VRBO property like this to stay in when we meet again in another part of the country. Thanks for an unforgettable vacation.

Reviewer Comments: Since our family had not been able to "get away" from Pensacola, FL. since the beginning of June, the Pearl of Destiny in Destin, FL. was a place that we will never forget. It is such a bonus when a vacation destination is within 90 minutes of home and also makes one feel as though they were hundreds of miles away. The living area was something we will never forget in that it was relaxing and quite formal. The courtyard area by the pool was especially beautiful in the late morning/early afternoon when the warm Florida sun shone and one could relax in this intimate setting. We were especially fond of the availability of the staff who were always willing to answer any questions that we had. We encourage you to take advantage of this wonderful rental.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Pearl of Destiny was the perfect home for our family vacation (15 guests - 7 adults, 2 teenagers and 6 children under the age of 5). Looking at pictures of houses prior to booking we were drawn to this house and its large open kitchen, dining and family room. This area was perfect for all of us to be eat, drink, play games and relax together. The use of the golf carts made getting to the beach, community pool, restaurants or just cruising scenic 98 a breeze. We got to the beach between 10-11 every morning and parking at the Crab Trap was never an issue. If you were walking to the beach it would be about a 10 minute walk. One concern we had prior to getting down there was the size of the pool for all the kids but it really turned out to be perfect size. All the little kids were able to wear themselves out and would have stayed in there all day if we had let them. All of the bedrooms were clean and plenty big enough. The kids room could not have worked out better for our family. The little kids slept 3 across on the bottom bunk with plenty of room while the older kids slept up top. We went to dinner at the Crab Trap (great food, close to the pearl of destiny and so easy to get to with the use of the golf carts). We also went to the Surf Hut at the recommendation of one of the neighborhood security officers. The food was great and the atmosphere was very family friendly. Both places are right on the beach and have things to do to keep the kids busy. On Thursday we went to Harry T's at the Harborwalk Village. All the boats going in and out kept the kids entertained. Again the food was great. After dinner on Thursday we stayed for fireworks which were a little disappointing as they only lasted 5 minutes. We used xplorie for golf and a fishing trip. It was easy to use and gave a great discount. This is a great home and we will certainly be back again!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful vacation with our extended family at the beautiful Pearl of Destiny. The bedroom arrangement was perfect for our group and our four grandkids loved being able to all sleep in one room in the cute four bunkbeds. It is such a kid friendly home with plenty of board games, a ping pong table, a large assortment of beach toys including sand toys, boogie boards, life jackets and floats. The pool was wonderful and allowed an escape from the beach. The two golf carts were a lifesaver for the trips to the beach and we even went to a couple nearby restaurants in them...all 12 of us! The house has beautiful beachy décor and was very relaxing. We also enjoyed the tennis courts, and playground. The weather did not allow us time to golf, maybe next time. We hope to return to Pearl of Destiny for our next Destin vacation!
