Destin will be hosting the 72nd annual Destin Fishing Rodeo 2020 this October! Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 the Seafood Festival, which normally happens alongside the Rodeo, will not be taking place but the Fishing Rodeo will still call for a “reel” good time! The Destin Fishing Rodeo is fun for saltwater anglers of all ages! To participate, private boats and charter boats must register to enter the Rodeo at least 24 hours prior to weighing a fish. There is no entry fee for anglers on registered vessels. The Rodeo is also fun without having to participate, so stop by the docks at AJ’s Seafood & Oyster Bar from 10 am until 7 pm for daily weigh-ins! Not only is Destin, FL known for its beautiful, sugar white sand beaches, but it is also recognized as the “Luckiest Fishing Village”. This annual event is one of the several reasons to visit Destin this Fall!
